The Mortgage Store Declare W.A.R.

A tougher event would be hard to find and doesn’t get much tougher than a 10 kilometre assault course….. military style!

Our team signed up to take part in W.A.R (Warrior Adrenalin Race) which took place on Saturday 26th April 2014 on the Dunstable Downs, an event organised by Regiment Fitness. The aim was to raise funds for the Willen Hospice, a charity based in Milton Keynes who provide care for terminally ill adults and support for their families. So far we’ve raised over £1,100.

“Participating in the event has definitely brought a sense of team spirit, and not only for those that competed, but on the day we had colleagues on the side lines cheering us on, it’s been great for office morale” said Jon.

The course was made up of 25 obstacles covering 10 kilometres of very muddy and hilly terrain and consisting of sheer ladders, a zip wire, muddy tunnels, monkey bars, the dreaded iced water dip tank and most feared of all, being shot at by 4 Regiment members and their paint-ball guns…..very painful!

“Well done to everyone who took part. It was tough but a great day and for a very worthy cause. Would I do it again?……not likely!”

    Hi Martin and Jo,

Last Friday, we received the keys to our new house. We would be moving in by the end of this month.
